CLEANING & RECOVERY WITH ZERO RISK
At PGM Technologies, the technical expertise on nitric acid and caprolactam production technology is the most valuable asset. For every starting phase of a cleaning project PGMT is going into a detailed conversation with the production managers and process engineers to assess the technical design and condition of any production facility. The information gathered from these discussions are fundamental for the cleaning project layout and subsequently the successful performance of a cleaning & recovery project.
Non-destructive cleanings are performed on-site at the client’s premises. PGMT professionals come to the site with machinery & equipment to carry out a safe & effective cleaning technology. These projects are performed during maintenance shut-downs and vary in duration depending on the project layout.
If a nitric acid (or caprolactam) production line or single parts of the production line reach their ‘end-of-life’ state PGMT offers to clean the obsolete plant equipment destructively. This type of cleaning will yield in >99% recovery of PGM deposits.
PGMT'S RECORD FROM OVER 200 PROJECTS
Non-destructive cleanings are performed on-site at the client’s premises. PGMT professionals come to the site with machinery & equipment to carry out a safe & effective cleaning technology. These projects are performed during maintenance shut-downs and vary in duration depending on the project layout. PGM Technologies offers different types of non-destructive technologies. Every technology results in individual cleaning & recovery efficiencies:
- Water Flushing
- Chemical NON-Acid cleaning
- Chemical cleaning
Positive effects from regular cleaning cycles:
- Reduced pressure drop
- Higher production rates
- Increase in overall process efficiency
- Improved heat transfer - eliminates hot spots
- Increased steam production
COMPARISON OF RECOVERY EFFICIENCY
CHEMICAL NON-ACID CLEANING
PGMT is specialized on the cleaning of 4 technical parts:
- Heat Exchangers
The fixed fee model works on basis of a flat price for the offered non-destructive cleaning services. The client receives an offer listing a defined number of services to be performed at the clients’ premises which will be invoiced with a fixed fee upon completion of the job.
The purchase of non-destructive cleaning projects is a very new commercial model which will be introduced in the soon. Here PGMT will pay a pre-defiend amount of money to the client to carry out the project. The amount paid will reflect the expected amount of platinum group metals recovered. ZERO cost for the client. Payment will be commenced upon completion of the project. Completion in this case is the pick-up of cleaning residues and customs clearance.
When a nitric acid (or caprolactam) production line or parts of the production line reach their ‘end-of-life’ state these items can be directed into a destructive cleaning project. This type of cleaning procedure will yield in >99% recovery of PGM deposits still held in the obsolete plant equipment. On the contrary to non-destructive cleaning the designated item will be reduced in size by hot cutting and similar cutting technologies to fit into PGMTs cleaning tanks at the destructive cleaning shop in Germany. The cut to size pieces will be chemically cleaned in highly concentrated acid solution to dissolve PGM deposits from the surface. In shifts of up to 24h if necessary PGMT makes sure to recover every particle of PGM.GET IN TOUCH
As a service
When asked to destructively clean an entire production line or specific parts like boilers or exchangers as a service clients can chose between two commercial models:
- Fixed fee
- Metal share
PGM Technologies offers to purchase redundant plant parts or complete plants outright. A technical survey of production data, drawings and an on-site inspection are the basis for a purchasing offer to the client. The commercial offer will show the procedures and schedules for the teardown and logistics as well as a lump sum purchase price. For the Resale & Relocation of entire production lines PGMT cooperates with a specialized company which will be introduced in the course of the process.
