The survey in principal will determine the timeline for equipment arriving onsite, orientation of site equipment within easy access to essential site services and any site or operational restrictions that could impact on the successful execution of the works being undertaken.
During the site survey all technical related drawings are reviewed with the site project lead and their maintenance engineers to ensure project preparation and safeguards are addressed, such as, entry and egress for all components treated, permitting and what support and equipment is required from the site. A major discussion point of course is a detailed review of the scope of works, scheduling for the release of component and the timeframe to which our team must work. All of these factors are integral to the viability of any programme of works scheduling.
PGM Technology Team – all employee undergoes basic training in site safety and with this hold “Passport to Safety” accreditations, the Site Operations Team complete extensive training in specialist fields, these include but not exclusive to, Confined Space Training, Hydroblasting, Working at Heights and Leading Teams Safely. The specific scope of works will ultimately determine the selection process of the team assigned to each project.

Therefore, the Site Induction is a vital part of the HSE safeguard respected and which we ensure work in synergy with the stringent guidelines enforced by PGM Technologies to all their employees.
The recovery of spent precious metals is a valuable commodity and should be respected as such throughout the execution of the project. The Site surveyor will establish the recovery protocol which will form part of the site operations. This protocol will protect metals recovered and ensure data collated is without compromise, this data being instrumental to evaluating project value and viability.
Recovered PGM bearing residues are sealed and follow a specific established protocol, such recovered materials are signed over to the responsible appointed Plant Project Lead until such time the scheduled shipment for pre-refining is carried out.
